AT&T cellphones have not worked in the Winner area for 15 or 20 house or so. What is irritating is no information on when service will be restored, and when cellphones are called from a wired home phone, we get the same message as if the phone is disconnected even if it isn't. The "emergency calls only" message comes on. AT&T needs to provide a different message to callers to their cellphones when AT&T itself is the problem and the problem is not with the cellphone user. NOTE--Monday Aug 27, 2018---Yesterday (Sunday), the cellphones worked for about 5 minutes roughly 24 hours after they croaked. Still off earlier today (Monday Aug 27). but around 9AM, the cellphones were working again. Losing that service makes one realize how dependent we have become on them and the variety of minor security they seem to provide.
I doubt any relation to cellphone problems, but western SD was really smokey yesterday.
