South Dakota's worthless US Republican senators Thune and Rounds have signed on to an unprecedented absurd letter to Iran. This is purely partisan nonsense that is despicable. 200 years of separation of diplomatic powers has served us well.
Thune and Rounds have now demonstrated by their XL support positions and this latest rotten partisanship that they actually care very little for the United States or for the best interests of South Dakotans. It is a further indication that the "modern" Republican party is completely unsuited for either executive or legislative control. All that appears to matter to them is how much money they can extract from special interests which care less for South Dakota and South Dakotans.
It is however very discouraging that the Republican-lean and big money influence on South Dakota media have allowed these despicable pigs to get power and stay in power.

Long and short of it is Obama got outflanked with the Natenyahu speech before the US House and nearly outflanked by the letter from the Republican senators. The question is not "Why are Republicans in Congress so nasty?", but "Why is this happening to Obama?" Look, senior senators tend to have big egos. A sophisticated and successful president calls them to the White House either on Sunday evening at a recption or on Tuesday morning in conference and strokes these big egos.
And, yes I never thought I'd be saying this, but that is what Lyndon Johnson did and what all successful presidents have done since 1789. If Obama gets outflanked, well, it's time to loks at Obama.
