I am not much of a movie watcher and don't much keep up on them, but I am going to give a free plug to a movie which will be in Rapid City very soon for only one showing. A short review is below: Thanks to Greg Olson for the heads up on this.
Nov. film “Inside Job”
Elks Theatre, 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 28. All seats $5.00.
Directed by Charles Ferguson. Starring Matt Damon, William Ackman and Daniel Alpert.
Takes a closer look at what brought about the financial meltdown. Source: IMDb.com
This scathing expose should be enough to alarm people all over the political spectrum. – Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel
This is a compelling documentary that will have you leaving the cinema absolutely seething. – Simon Reynolds, Digital Spy
Inside Job tackles the mess head-on with a kind of bitter pragmatism, reconstructing the system that failed and circling its weak spots. – Tim Robey, Daily Telegraph
120 minutes. 2010 release. Rated PG-13 for some drug and sex-related material.
The above is from Heartland Films website..
The movie is being sponsored by the Occupy Rapid City group in conjunction with the Heartland Film Society. Admission is $5 per person. The movie will be shown once, Monday, November 28, at 6:30 PM. So, recover from Thanksgiving dinner and Black Friday, but save enough cash to see the movie. As far as we know, the Rapid City Police Department has no plans to spray all viewers in the face with pepper spray.
