Howard Dean cheers on 3500 youthful supporters and makes the mistake of rasping out an exuberant "YAAHHHH" but with sore through sounds awfully gutteral. Within minutes the Right-wing blathermouths are having a field day. This something so simple they think they not only can understand it, but warp and distort it to a point beyond recognition and use it to smear Howard Dean.. a damnable outsider..
Peter Jennings tosses a softball to General Clark in a debate. Well, it isn't really a softball, it is a lit bomb with a big "W" on the side...ticking with a regular AWOL, AWOL, AWOL, AWOL. Clark is too timid or "inside" to show any backbone at all. Pleads ignorance of the charges that our "war president" Bush skipped out of the Texas Air National Guard for a year or so. Apparently refused to take a physical or failed it for reasons some might suspect involved chemicals not regularly found in urine or blood. National Guardsmen missing from a Wisconsin Guard Camp are being chased as "deserters".
The press coverage of this has been been both amusing, entertaining and disgusting. The ultimate irony was the Mclaughlin Group Scream Team discussing "the Dean Scream".
Anyway, I found a pencil and eraser.
