The Foreign Affairs magazine for September/October 2015 is an issue with a number of articles on Obama policy..good, bad...etc. The first two are titled "What Obama Gets Right" by Gideon Rose, and "What Obama Gets Wrong" by Bret Stephens. I am not going to summarize them here, but note that the first article notes the problems the Bush administration left festering for Obama.
The second article starts with the same meme that nearly every defense of the George W. Bush administration begins with: A question like "When does the criticism of the Bush Administration ever stop?" This seems to be about the only "defense" of one of the worst government foul ups and failure administrations of this century.
I have a little news for those relying on such a "defense". Republicans still regularly blame nearly every government problem on presidents starting with Wilson, and moving through FDR, Harry Truman, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and finally with near telescopic and microscopic vision, President Obama. It is only fair that Republican Presidents, including near worthless George W. Bush, will be fair targets and examples of mediocre governance for the rest of our lifetimes and probably for the rest of the existence of the US.
The lame "When will it stop?" "defense" of GWB, will never stop the rational analysis of the Bush administration. Bush sympathizers might as well give up on that sham defense....even if lame as it is, it may be the only one available.
