Weather in Winner, SD and other places in South Dakota took a sudden change from drizzle to strong COLD wind and snow. Turned into a short blizzard accompanied by sharp lighning and loud thunder. Temperature might be around 22F degrees now. Digital thermometer needs lithium batteries to work well below 32F degrees.
Sun is shining, so perhaps the tiny bit of sand and salt here and there on the streets and highways near Winner will make them a bit less slippery.
The Winner Regional Airport 3-Day weather report shows the temperature drop between 3PM and 7PM yesterday, and notes rainy, snowy, thunder conditions, but does not show any actual precipitation. Something wrong with that apparently.
