A few days ago, I heard SD Rep. Bernie Hunhoff during a legislative leader interview on SDPB-TV mention a study available at the Minnesota Federal Reserve which discussed the benefits of investing in early education versus investments in industry subsidies and tax breaks.
I requested information from Hunhoff. Below is one of the links provided which is worth reading. We seem to have Republicans at all levels supporting ideological and economic mythology proposing expensive legislation which may fall far short of the results they claim. Take a look at this.
Minneapolis Federal Reserve report on early education versus spending on Stadia
As I have suggested here and elsewhere, doing the same defective thing over and over and expecting a different result is sometimes defined as a form of insanity. Do we want our SD Governor and legislature pushing policies which are both expensive and defective?

I recall hearing SDPB talk to one of the authors of that study. That study is huge; no one should be allowed to serve in the Legislature without it.
