**Obama to win in a blowout in November? A fearless prediction
Below is a small part of an opinion article predicting a big win for Sen. Obama in the presidential race. For whatever it is worth, this guy also seems to suggest that McCain is the ideal symbol for the Death-Warmed Over Party as I thought after I saw him on TV in front of the green background. Today I heard his whole speech and he has a dreadful way of talking. It is sing-song with emphasis in nearly all the wrong places. Sen. Obama sounds much better, but needs to learn the value of brevity too. Anyway, take a look at this article. Comments welcome if you have a real name and address available for me.
Obama in a Blowout: The Presidential Election Will Not Be Close By Guy T. Saperstein, AlterNet Posted on June 6, 2008, Printed on June 7, 2008 http://www.alternet.org/story/87225/
The November presidential election is not going to be close. Barack Obama is going to beat John McCain by 8 to 10 points in the national popular vote and win 300 to 350 electoral votes. Obama is going to wipe out McCain mano a mano. I am far more confident making this prediction than I was in predicting Hillary's demise. There are many reasons why

Sign this independent (demo for the primary), up as doubting Thomas, again. After watching the party implode around the better candidates in 2000 and 2004, due in large part to the demo's circular firing squad, I'll believe it when I see it.
Oh, believe me - a blow out and a real mandate is the result I want, but winning a primary is meaningless when it comes to winning the show. Demo primary voters for Clinton were in two categories - those who really supported her for a myriad of reasons, and those who voted against Obama out of spite. Dr. Newquist's blog highlighted the latter and it's likely the latter is THE reason Clinton won in South Dakota, along with West Virgina, Pennsylvannia, Ohio, and several other states. This is not to criticize all Clinton voters, but rather to highlight the huge challenge facing Obama. The repub 527's will excrete mindless hate and fear this fall. Many will fall for the propaganda. I desperately want to see that my country has grown up and rejects such garbage - but it remains to be seen. Meanwhile, I'm FIRED UP!

Democrats in rural strongholds refuse to give backing to Obama
"Johnny Telvor was not happy about Barack Obama becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. Not happy at all.
Standing outside the sturdy courthouse in the sweltering heat of a West Virginia afternoon in the small town of Williamson, Telvor smoked a cigarette and bluntly gave his opinion of Obama's historic mission to be America's first black president.
'We'll end up slaves. We'll be made slaves just like they was once slaves,' he said. Telvor, a white Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton in West Virginia's primary, said he planned to vote for Republican John McCain in November. 'At least he's an American,' he added with a disarmingly friendly smile.
Such racist opinions are a rough antidote to the giddy optimism that has swept through much of America's chattering classes over the past week. . . . " [Go to the link for the rest of the article.]
Ignore popular polls. They are worthless. The only poll that will matter is electoral vote poll. The chattering classes and the coastal wing-nuts may continue to drown themselves in euphoria while ignoring at their peril - once again - middle America. I hope I am wrong this election, but evidence indicates otherwise.
