**Former Republican Legislator Ted Klaudt of Corson County Convicted of Rape

I have noticed in the past few days dozens of hits on the post I made months ago on Ted Klaudt, Former Republican legislator from Corson County. I don't view messes like this one as an excuse for the blog equivalent of of serial TV shows and cliff-hanger movies.

But, there is actually news in the case. Republican Ted Klaudt, who pushed morality and "SD Values" when in the legislature, has himself been convicted by a court and jury in Pierre, SD and is facing more charges back in Corson County. Klaudt appears to be a first-class hypocritical sleazeball. The things he was charged with as indicated in several SD newspapers suggest he is either crazier than a pet coon or basically an evil SOB..or perhaps some combination of that besides being a first-class hypocrite.

This is at least one Republican who doesn't appear to be getting by on the "It's OK if you are a Republican" which seems to usually cover a truckload of outrages with friendly platitudes for trickle-down economics, special morality for specially-connected people, etc.

That is enough said about this. Something goes terribly wrong with some people and perhaps we as a society should be devoting more research money on explaining and preventing domestic destructive behavior and less on destroying Iraq in the fatally-flawed Bush ideas for oil interests.
