South Dakota Democratic Party's Blog Featuring: South Dakota State Senator Ben Nesselhuf 2:45 p.m., September 29, 2005: ‘Why We Should Care'
As most South Dakotans are aware, Governor Rounds has rightly come under some criticism lately about his use of the state’s airplanes. The media has reported that the Governor has used the aircraft extensively for travel of a personal nature. The Governor claims that all of his personal trips have been paid for by either his campaign or by the Governor’s Club. This is not entirely true. Members of his family joined him on two trips to partisan republican events. The state was never reimbursed for his travel or that of his family’s. These trips cost taxpayers almost $20,000.
Of course there is a little more. Wonder of wonders, the SD Democratic Party gets around to having a blog about two years after I suggested it. Somebody must have forgotten where they heard the iidea first.
Whatever, it is a neat looking Blog with a better picture of Mt. Rushmore than that exploited by The South Dakota Partisan site.
Hope they can keep it going.
